An Apple netbook?

by Angela on March 10, 2009

Would you buy an Apple netbook?

I certainly would. I love my iPod Touch, but the on-screen keyboard is a real exercise in frustration. I’d love a small Apple notebook I could carry with me in my purse, to check email, send Twitter tweets, and look up information on the go.

A tiny Apple computer about four times the size of the Touch, with a real keyboard, would make my life easier, as I suspect it would for others, both students and business people.

An Apple netbook may be immanent — after all, Apple’s pooh poohed the idea.

As The case for—and against—an Apple netbook – Ars Technica reports:

“The standard Apple line before it launches new products is, ‘that thing you say we should make? It’s crap.’ The company did exactly that before announcing the iPhone, for example, and look where we are today. The mere fact that Apple has dismissed the idea of a netbook while simultaneously massaging the rumor mill with soft statements like ‘we’re watching the netbook space’ are good indicators that Apple is doing a little more than watching.”
